Lola Morgan on Gossip Girl Has a Weird Connection to Dan Humphrey

If you noticed a familiar face on last week's episode of Gossip Girl, you have a good eye. In the third episode of the rebooted series, we met Lola Morgan, the secret girlfriend of Julien Calloway's dad, David. But you've actually seen Lola before. The character is played by Elizabeth Lail, who just so happened to play Guinevere Beck in You season one. Yup, Lola has had her own experiences with Dan Humphreys...well kind of. Anyway, here's everything you need to know about the character and the actress who plays her.
Who is Lola Morgan?
We meet Lola in the bathroom at a bar, where Julien is trying to get over her ex-boyfriend, Obie. Like any good bathroom friendship, Lola and Julien support each other as Julien vents about her ex and Lola opens up about her current relationship. Lola reveals she has been dating her boyfriend for a year and he still won't go public. Upon exiting the bathroom, Julien learns that the "boyfriend" Lola was speaking about is actually her father, meaning Davis has been hiding his relationship from Julien for over a year.
In order to gain more clarity on the situation, Julien plans a sort of ambush, inviting Lola to the opening night of a play by sending her flowers and a ticket, making Lola think it was Davis who invited her. When they meet at the play, though, Lola is able to put everything together and Lola leaves Davis at the after party.
Who plays Lola Morgan?
As stated above, Lola is played by Elizabeth Lail, the actress who also played Guinevere Beck in the first season of You. Of course, we love another Gossip Girl/You connection, but there's also a chance you recognized Elizabeth from her roles in One Upon a Time or Dead of Summer.
What's next for Lola Morgan?
There's a chance that Lola dumped Davis at the end of episode three and we will never see her again. Or, possibly, they are able to mend things and Davis finally makes it official with his secret girlfriend. If that's the case, prepare to see a lot more of Beck I mean Lola.
