MCINTOSH, Ala. (WKRG) — Triston Harper, a 15-year-old MOWA Choctaw Indian from McIntosh who gained popularity after starring on the national singing competition American Idol, is coming back to his hometown and will be hosting multiple homecoming events.

Triston made it through to the top five before being eliminated on Disney Night along with Loretta Lynn’s granddaughter, Emmy Russell.

Be part of history in National Maritime Museum of the Gulf of Mexico’s new exhibit

Triston will perform his “The Dreamcatcher in Concert” at the MOWA Choctaw Reservation on May 24 from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

RESERVATION LOCATION:

On May 25, a parade will be held in Triston’s honor at noon. A Pow Wow will also take place on the reservation at 5 p.m. that day.
