Feb. 14—HENDERSON — Varonica Mitchell, a seventh-grader at Henderson Collegiate, as well as a beloved local star and internet sensation, just inked a groundbreaking deal with Lion Forge Entertainment in connection with HBO Max, Nickelodeon and Sony.

The announcement comes as Mitchell's popularity continues to skyrocket, captivating audiences with her infectious charm on big stages like the Jennifer Hudson show, where she met Lil Jon.

"When I saw the video, I thought she did such a good job," said rapper Lil Jon on the talk show about Mitchell's viral dance move to his signature song 'Snap Yo Fingers.'

"I think she killed it the best of everybody," he said.

Hailing from Henderson, Mitchell's journey to stardom has been rather remarkable. Last year, her support base skyrocketed to over two million fans, with views on her videos reaching over 20 million. She has been seen and shared by celebrities and people all over the world, landing interviews with Jennifer Hudson, and performances with Lil Jon, the Isley brothers and more.

Mitchell will be launching her education and entertainment school Tour entitled "Laugh, Love & Hope Tour" in the Spring of 2024 where she will provide free books to students, promoting "the importance of reading and how education is important in entertainment."

Mitchell will be headed back to Los Angeles in a few weeks to meet again with the Networks on her upcoming project with Lion Forge.

With this new deal, Mitchell is set to embark on the next chapter of her young career, poised to bring her brand of entertainment to even greater heights. Partnering with these aforementioned big names in the entertainment industry, Mitchell's talent is poised to reach an even wider audience, promising new projects and ventures on the horizon.

One such venture includes her upcoming performance at the UniverSoul Circus, scheduled for Feb. 28 and March 2. As she takes the stage under the big top, audiences can expect a spectacle like no other, as Mitchell showcases her skills and stage presence.

In an interview at her mother's dance academy in Henderson, I Dance Praise Academy, Mitchell expressed her gratitude and excitement for the opportunities ahead, while remaining humble but confident.

"All of the things I do now come naturally, which is a blessing," said the 12-year-old, who has not taken any lessons for acting or dancing. "I thank God for that. We have a lot of support and love from our family, and that really keeps us going."

Despite her newfound global success, Mitchell remains deeply rooted in her hometown. With a dedication to her craft and community, Mitchell continues to serve as an inspiration to aspiring performers everywhere, proving that with a wealth of natural talent, hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.
