Lizzo Gets The Last Laugh After Twerking Backlash, Houston Rockets Invite Singer To Dance At Game
Lizzo has been invited to come dance at a Houston Rockets game, following the heat she caught for twerking at a recent Laker game.
The Houston Rockets tweet out, “@Lizzo, we like your moves! You have an open invite to come home to Houston and dance with @OfficialCCD on the court any time!.”
Lizzo quickly responded to the team saying, “I’ll be there w/ bells on my booty 🤠.” The Rockets weren't playing around telling the singer “Let us know when.”

Lizzo Addresses Body-Positivity After Being Named 'Time' Magazine's Entertainer Of The Year
Earlier this month, Lizzo sat front row at the Staples Center for the Los Angeles Lakers against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The 31-year-old sat front row with friends when her song came on during a game break. Lizzo stood up and started dancing. As she turned around, she revealed cut-outs in the back of her pants which showed her thong and fishnet stockings.
Her dance moves were captured on the jumbotron where everyone around her seemed to be having a great time.
The video of the dance went viral which lead to people criticizing Lizzo. Some people felt her wearing that outfit was inappropriate for an event where children attended. Her supporters felt the criticism was simply people body shaming and judging her for living her best life.
Lizzo had no time for the criticism posting a video of herself addressing the comments. She shut down the haters saying she doesn’t let negativity affect her.
She said, “This is who I've always been. Now everyone's looking at it and your criticism can just remain your criticism. Your criticism has no effect on me, negative criticism has no stake in my life, no control over my life, over my emotions."
Lizzo was named Time Magazine’s Entertainer of The Year this week. She spoke to the magazine, “I’ve been doing positive music for a long-ass time. Then the culture changed. There were a lot of things that weren’t popular but existed, like body positivity, which at first was a form of protest for fat bodies and black women and has now become a trendy, commercialized thing."
She continued, "Now I’ve seen it reach the mainstream. Suddenly I’m mainstream! How could we have guessed something like this would happen when we’ve never seen anything like this before?”
