“Sam is desperate to fit in at school, rejecting her Indian culture and family to be like everyone else,” reads the official synopsis. “When a mythological demonic spirit latches onto her former best friend, she must come to terms with her heritage in order to defeat it.”

The film stars Megan Suri as Sam, Neeru Bajwa, Mohana Krishnan, Vik Sahay, Gage Marsh, Beatrice Kitsos, and Betty Gabriel. It is written and directed by Bishal Dutta with a story from Bishal Dutta and Ashish Mehta. It is produced by Raymond Mansfield and Sean McKittrick, who also worked on Get Out.
