Mar. 13—Postmodern Jukebox

Postmodern Jukebox is famous for reinterpreting songs we know and love as classic-sounding tunes from other eras, such as the 1920s jazz age. For the full experience, catch their Portland stop on the Life in the Last Lane tour. The show will feature tunes from their latest album, "Oldie Fans," which includes takes on songs by The Pixies, Michael Jackson and Justin Bieber, among many others.

The Bogmen

8 p.m. Saturday. Bayside Bowl, 58 Alder St., Portland, $25 in advance, $30 at the door. baysidebowl.com

New York City's psychedelic indie rock band The Bogmen earned underground cult status with the release of the '90s albums "Life Begins at 40 Million" and "Closed Caption Radio." At present, they're working on new material after a long recording hiatus, and you can see them live in Portland on Saturday. Opening the show is multi-genre act SeepeopleS and synthpop/darkwave band The Button Men, both based in Portland.

Adam Ezra Group

8 p.m. Saturday. Portland House of Music, 25 Temple St., Portland, $25 in advance, $30 day of show, 21-plus. statetheatreportland.com

Live performances from Boston's Adam Ezra Group are invigorating, exciting and highly entertaining, as the musicians burst with sheer talent and big energy. The band inhabits its own piece of real estate at the corner of folk and rock and has been at it for more than two decades. The latest release is last year's "The Album Project, Vol. 1" with lively tracks like "Live Loud" and "Let's Get Outta This Town," along with slower ones including "Lay Lay."
