Live blog: Week 12 college football Saturday with Yahoo Sports
The loss of Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa for the season is the story of Saturday.
No. 8 Minnesota saw its undefeated season come to an end, and No. 13 Baylor suffered a similar fate at the hands of Oklahoma.

No. 10 Oklahoma 34, No. 13 Baylor 31
Nik Bonitto’s interception of Baylor QB Charlie Brewer in the closing seconds sealed an unbelievable comeback win for the Sooners (9-1, 6-1 Big 12), handing Baylor (9-1, 6-1) its first loss of the season.
Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts threw four touchdown passes — two to Austin Stogner — to rally OU from a massive 25-point early deficit. Gabe Brkic’s field goal late in the game put the Sooners in front.
It was quite a turnaround for Hurts, who also lost two fumbles and threw an interception. Two of those turnovers led directly to BU scores.
Brewer’s two touchdown runs and two TD passes to Denzel Mims gave the the Bears their early lead.

No. 1 LSU 58, Ole Miss 37
Coming off an epic victory over Alabama, the Tigers (9-0, 5-0 SEC) took care of business against the Rebels (4-6, 2-4). Joe Burrow threw for 489 yards and five touchdown passes to lead the way.

Ole Miss has managed to make the score respectable thanks to four TD runs by QB John Rhys Plumlee.

No. 2 Ohio State 56, Rutgers 21
Justin Fields threw four TD passes and J.K. Dobbins added two TD runs for the Buckeyes (10-0, 7-0 Ten), who were 53-point favorites against the Scarlet Knights (2-8, 0-7).
No. 3 Clemson 52, Wake Forest 3
The Tigers (11-0, 8-0 ACC) extended the nation’s longest active winning streak to 26 games as Trevor Lawrence threw four TD passes in the rout against the Demon Deacons (7-3, 3-3).
No. 4 Georgia 21, No. 12 Auburn 14
The Bulldogs (9-1, 6-1 SEC) won the SEC East for the third year in a row with their victory over the Tigers (7-3, 4-3).
Auburn didn’t make it easy.
Trailing 21-0, the Tigers scored two fourth-quarter touchdowns to pull within 21-14 with 7:03 to play. Driving for the tying score, Auburn’s Bo Nix couldn’t complete a pass on fourth-and-2 at the Georgia 34 with 2:29 to play.
Auburn got the ball back at its 27 with 2:10 left but couldn’t go anywhere. Nix was sacked on fourth down, ending the Tigers’ last shot to tie the score.

Georgia opened the scoring with a 51-yard TD pass from Jake Fromm to Dominick Blaylock and added another with 20 seconds left in the first half on a Fromm to Brian Herrien connection.
Herrien’s score came on the play after he accidentally knocked out a Georgia student photographer on the sideline in a scary collision.

Auburn started a drive at Georgia’s 43-yard line midway through the third quarter but didn’t go anywhere and had to punt. Georgia made the Tigers pay, driving 88 yards in 13 plays — capped by Fromm’s third TD pass of the day — for a 21-0 lead.

No. 5 Alabama 38, Mississippi State 7
Alabama scored 14 points in a 14-second span of the first quarter, but star QB Tua Tagovailoa was carted off the field in the second quarter with a hip injury — and he’s out for the season.

Tagovailoa and the Tide (9-1, 6-1 SEC) had a 35-7 lead at the time of the second-quarter injury.
Najee Harris had three first-half TD runs for Alabama. Kylin Hill has a TD run for Mississippi State (4-6, 2-5).
No. 7 Utah 49, UCLA 3
The Utes (9-1, 6-1 Pac-12) blew out the Bruins (4-6, 4-3). Tyler Huntley threw two TD passes and Zack Moss has ran for 127 yards and two scores of his own.

No. 20 Iowa 23, No. 8 Minnesota 19
P.J. Fleck’s boat has sprung a leak.
The Golden Gophers (9-1, 6-1 Big Ten) — who were 9-0 for the first time since 1904 — suffered their first loss of the season to the Hawkeyes (7-3, 4-3).
Minnesota cut the lead to 23-19 with 3:27 left on 1-yard TD run from Rodney Smith, but the Gophers missed the extra point.
Getting the ball back at their own 20 with 1:59 to play, Tanner Morgan was sacked on back-to-back plays. He was hurt on the second-down play and left the game. A third-and-21 pass fell incomplete, and a fourth-down pass was intercepted.

No. 9 Penn State 34, Indiana 27
Sean Clifford ran into the end zone on fourth-and-goal with 1:44 left as Penn State rebounded for the victory.
The game-clinching drive took 18 plays and used up nine minutes of the final quarter.
Indiana kicked a field goal to cut the lead to 34-27 with 13 seconds left, but Penn State recovered the onside kick and ran out the clock.
Peyton Ramsey’s second rushing TD had pulled the Hoosiers (7-3, 4-3 Big Ten) within a field goal of the Nittany Lions (9-1, 6-1).
But they also had this fake punt, which was one to forget.

Clifford had a TD pass and two TD runs for Penn State, which was coming off its first loss of the season last week to Minnesota.
No. 11 Florida 23, Missouri 6
The Gators (9-2, 6-2 SEC), coming off a 56-0 rout of Vanderbilt, had lost two straight to the Tigers (5-5, 2-4), but two third-quarter TDs helped them pull away in this one.
No. 14 Wisconsin 37, Nebraska 21
The Badgers (8-2, 5-2 Big Ten) continued their recent dominance against the Huskers (4-6, 2-5), who gave head coach Scott Frost a two-year contract extension earlier in the day.
Jack Coan’s 55-yard TD pass to A.J. Taylor helped Wisconsin regain the lead at 17-14 with 6:39 left in the first half, and Jonathan Taylor — who broke a Herschel Walker record on Saturday — added a TD run 1:36 later as part of a 20-point second quarter. The Badgers’ Aron Cruickshank also returned a kickoff 89 yards for a score.
This was one positive play for Nebraska.

No. 15 Michigan 44, Michigan State 10
The Wolverines (8-2, 5-2 Big Ten) rebounded from an early seven-point deficit to take charge and beat the Spartans (4-6, 2-5) in the Big House for the first time since 2012.
Shea Patterson threw an 18-yard TD pass to Donovan Peoples-Jones as Michigan opened it up in the second half. The teams then traded third-quarter field goals before a Michigan blocked punt led to a TD pass from Patterson to Nico Collins for a 34-10 lead.
Patterson capped a 12-play, 98-yard drive with a 5-yard TD pass to Nick Eubanks as Michigan took a 14-7 lead with 4:18 to play in the first half. Trailing 7-0, Michigan drove 68 yards in seven plays — capped by a Hassan Haskins 1-yard TD run — to tie the score 7-7.
Michigan added a 28-yard field goal from Quinn Nordin to take a 17-7 halftime lead.
Brian Lewerke threw a 1-yard TD pass to Max Rosenthal with 1:48 left in the first quarter as Michigan State struck first. Lewerke converted a fourth-and-1 at the Michigan 37 with a 7-yard run, then hit Cody White with a 29-yard completion to the Michigan 1 on the next play to set up the score.
No. 16 Notre Dame 52, No. 23 Navy 20
The Fighting Irish (8-2) and Midshipmen (7-2) are both ranked entering this contest for the first time since 1978. Navy won’t be next week as Ian Book completed 15-of-20 passes for 284 yards and five TDs in the rout.
No. 17 Cincinnati 20, South Florida 17
Sam Crosa nailed a 37-yard field goal as time expired to help the Bearcats (9-1, 6-0 AAC) escape with their eighth straight victory. They had to rally past the Bulls (4-6, 2-4), who led by 10 points in the second half.

No. 18 Memphis 45, Houston 27
The Tigers (9-1, 5-1 AAC) are in the hunt for the West title, and they took care of the Cougars (3-7, 1-5) thanks to five TD passes from Brady White.
Iowa State 23, No. 19 Texas 21
Connor Assalley kicked a 36-yard field goal as time expired as the Cyclones (6-4, 4-3 Big 12) beat the Longhorns (6-4, 4-3).
And Assalley was mobbed in the celebration.
Sam Ehlinger threw three TD passes for Texas in a losing effort.
No. 22 Oklahoma State 31, Kansas 13
Les Miles coached at Oklahoma State 15 years ago and didn’t have a happy return as his Jayhawks (3-7, 1-6 Big 12) lost to the Cowboys (7-3, 4-3). Chuba Hubbard has two TD runs for Oklahoma State.
West Virginia 24, No. 24 Kansas State 20
The Mountaineers (4-6, 2-5) snapped a five-game losing streak on Hakeem Bailey’s late interception at the WVU 3 in the final minute. Jarret Doege — in his first start of the season — threw three TD passes. The Wildcats (6-4, 3-4) had grabbed the lead in the second half on a 3-yard TD run from James Gilbert.
No. 25 Appalachian State 56, Georgia State 27
The Mountaineers (9-1, 6-1 Sun Belt) took control against the Panthers (6-4, 3-3), who led by two touchdowns early in the game. That lead was short-lived.
