Live-Action Hercules Remake does not have an official release date, but it will likely be announced in the future.

In a recent interview with GamesRadar, when asked about the status of the Live-Action Hercules Remake’s development and whether or not Guy Ritchie has exited the project as per claims from many online rumors, the Russo Brothers said that they are still “waiting on a script” for the upcoming remake. However, they did not touch on the matter of whether Ritchie had left the project or not.

Thus, owing to the lack of a script for the upcoming Live-Action Hercules Remake, a release date is yet to be confirmed. Disney will likely announce a release date once the script has been finalized and production on the film commences.

There is currently no confirmed cast for the Live-Action Hercules Remake. However, Guy Ritchie, who directed Disney’s live-action remake of 1992’s animated Aladdin movie, is expected to be the director while the Russo Brothers are set to be the film’s producers.

As far as the plot of the Live-Action Hercules Remake is concerned, it is unknown, however, at a 2022 press event for The Gray Man, The Russo Brothers revealed that it will pay homage to the original 1997 Hercules animated movie but with a “more modern spin” (via GamesRadar).

In a later Variety interview in 2022, the Russo Brothers also revealed that the upcoming Live-Action Hercules Remake would be a modern musical inspired by TikTok.
