Everyone soon will be talking — again — about The Little Mermaid, after it makes its streaming debut. So if you want to be where the people are, here’s everything you need to know for streaming the movie online.

The film, which made its theatrical debut in May, is a live-action reimagining of the animated classic following the familiar tale of Ariel (played by grown-ish’s Halle Bailey) as she searches to find out more about the world beyond her life under the sea. Comedy queen Melissa McCarthy and World on Fire’s Jonah Hauer-King co-star as the evil sea witch, Ursula, and Prince Eric, respectively. The entire underwater kingdom comes to life on Wednesday, Sept. 6 when it hits streaming.

What Is The Little Mermaid About?
The film tells “the beloved story of Ariel, a beautiful and spirited young mermaid with a thirst for adventure,” according to the official synopsis. “The youngest of King Triton’s daughters and the most defiant, Ariel longs to find out more about the world beyond the sea and, while visiting the surface, falls for the dashing Prince Eric. While mermaids are forbidden from interacting with humans, Ariel must follow her heart. She makes a deal with the evil sea witch, Ursula, which gives her a chance to experience life on land but ultimately places her life – and her father’s crown – in jeopardy.”
