Listen to Ty Segall’s New Song “Radio”

From his next album First Taste, out this August

Ty Segall has shared another track off his upcoming record First Taste. It’s called “Radio” and follows the previously released song “Taste.” The record is out August 2 via Drag City. Listen to “Radio” below.

In a press release, Segall said, “‘Radio’ is a science non-fiction song.” He continued, “We live in a Cronenberg film. It has Videodrome saxoheadphones. I am a slave to the new radio and so are you.”

First Taste follows 2018’s Freedom’s Goblin, a collaboration with White Fence, and this year’s live album Deforming Lobes.

Segall and Freedom Band (Mikal Cronin, Shannon Lay, Charles Moothart, Emmett Kelly, and Ben Boye) are currently on tour. Grab tickets here. (Pitchfork may earn a commission from purchases made through affiliate links on our site.)
