Listen to T-Pain and Lil Wayne’s T-Wayne Long-Lost Collaborative Album
By Amanda Wicks.
In the mid-to-late 2000s, T-Pain and Lil Wayne got together to record a number of tracks under the moniker “T-Wayne.” Those songs ended up getting shelved for years until, suddenly, T-Pain declared, “I’m feelin reeeeeaaaaalll spontaneous right now.” He’s now released the T-Wayne mixtape. Hear the eight newly-unearthed tracks below, and download the project for free here. In 2008, around the time of T-Wayne’s creation, the pair collaborated on two songs: Tha Carter III’s “Got Money” and “Can’t Believe It” from T-Pain’s Thr33 Ringz. That year, Wayne told MTV that he and T-Pain “both have the same energy.”
Wayne recently featured on DJ Khaled’s No. 1 single “I’m the One.” He is also on Nicki Minaj’s 2017 song “No Frauds.” T-Pain’s most recent mixtape, The Iron Way, came out in 2015.
