After he died in December, it was reported that George Michael had been working on a new record and had amassed a pile of unreleased music. Today, a new version of Michael’s “Fearless,” featuring Nile Rodgers, has premiered on Chris Evans’ BBC Radio 2 show. Check it out below. The song was originally released as a B-side in 1990 and also featured on 2011’s deluxe version of Faith, though Rodgers’ updated version appears to feature previously unheard vocals, as the BBC points out. Responding to a fan with “mixed feelings” about the posthumous release of Michael’s work, Rodgers responded on Twitter: “You SHOULD have mixed feelings. No one’s heart was dragged through emotional ambiguity more than mine. Tears, uncertainty, happiness & #LOVE.”

Following his death, Michael was honored with performances from Adele and Chris Martin at the Grammys and BRIT Awards, respectively.
