Listen to Charli XCX and Troye Sivan’s New Song “1999”

The track, with its amazing Matrix-themed cover art, has arrived

Charli XCX and Troye Sivan have shared their new collaborative track “1999.” Listen below. The track was teased earlier this week with a first look at its Matrix-themed cover art. The track references Britney Spears’ “…Baby One More Time,” listening to “Shady” on CD, Michael Jackson, ‘90s actor JTT, and more.

The new track follows Sivan’s debut album Bloom. Charli’s last release, Pop 2, arrived last year. She’s shared a series of new songs since, including “5 in the Morning,” “No Angel,” and “Girls Night Out.” Recently, Yaeji remixed Charli’s song “Focus.”
