Our List of the Top 10 Reality Shows of All Time ... Period
#5 -- Laguna Beach
I happen to be from Orange County, so MTV's "Laguna Beach" will always hold a special place in my heart.
Also ... LC for life.
After years of closely covering and studying reality TV, I have compiled what I think are the greatest reality shows to ever grace the airwaves.
From Calabasas to the Jersey Shore, these are the best shows that we have all become obsessed over.
Check out my list and see if you agree ... or just sound off about the ones you think I missed the mark on.
#9 -- Deadliest Catch
The crews in the Bering Sea are actually risking their lives to not only score huge pots of crab, but to provide countless hours of salty entertainment.
Plus, the camera crews that cover the boats are some of the most badass around. This ain't exactly an easy shooting schedule.
#8 -- Pawn Stars
The crew at Gold & Silver Pawn literally turned a Las Vegas pawn shop into the hottest thing off The Strip, and gave us memorable characters like The Old Man (RIP).
Plus, everyone wants to be friends with Chumlee.
#7 -- The Biggest Loser
Watching people push themselves to the limit and overcome the odds is always good TV, and nobody harnessed that better than "Biggest Loser."
TBH, I'm also a big guy ... so I know the struggle and give props to those who were able to resist the temptations of giving in to the room full of donuts.
#6 -- Chrisley Knows Best
Full disclosure ... I put "Chrisley Knows Best" on the list mainly because of the recent news coverage.
I've never actually watched the show, but based on how patriarch Todd Chrisley has reacted since getting indicted for tax and bank fraud, he's reality TV gold.
#10 -- The Apprentice and Celebrity Apprentice
Regardless of your politics, Donald Trump's "You're Fired!" catchphrase has become a global phenomenon.
#4 -- Teen Mom
Even though "Teen Mom" was responsible for a rise in teens trying to get knocked up, it's been years of fantastic emotional entertainment.
And where would we be without Farrah Abraham ... and that video she filmed. You know what I'm talking about.
#3 -- Jersey Shore
The Situation, Snooki, JWoww, Pauly D, Ron Ron and Vinnie are so good, they had to make the list.
Plus, they literally made "GTL" a household term.
#2 -- Real Housewives of Everywhere
Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise almost made the top of my list.
I'm obviously partial to Vicki Gunvalson and the ladies in Orange County, but just about every season of the reality show has been amazing ... except D.C.
#1 -- Keeping Up With The Kardashians
Obviously, Kris Jenner and her family on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" tops the list.
Not only has it been dominating TV for years, but it's launched Kim Kardashian, Kylie Jenner and even Scott Disick into becoming gigantic stars.
With all the product integrations and businesses they've spun off their exposure on "KUWTK," they've turned the family into a billion dollar empire.
Well, that's my list after living and breathing reality TV news for a good chunk of my life.
