The It List: ‘The Springfield Three’ podcast investigates disappearance, ‘Loki’ spins off from ‘Avengers’ and more pop culture highlights of the week

The Springfield Three: A Small-Town Disappearance is available on Apple Podcasts. A new podcast is taking a look at a long-standing case of three missing women in Springfield, MO.

Loki premieres Wednesday, June 9 on Disney+. The latest MCU entry spins off Tom Hiddleston’s mischievous God from Thor, giving him a new time-bending adventure.

In the Heights premieres Friday, June 11 in theaters and on HBO Max. Based on Lin-Manuel Miranda’s musical of the same name, the movie features a whole lot of singing, dancing, and an infectious sense of joy that’s sorely needed for a post-pandemic audience.

The Springfield three, a small town disappearance, investigates how three women seemingly vanished into thin air in the Missouri town of Springfield on June 7, 1992. Journalist and host, Anne Roderick Jones, revisits her hometown to try to find answers, despite no evidence of a body, DNA, or even apparent conflict.

Owen Wilson plays a supervisor of sorts, although, double, triple, and maybe even quadruple crossing is bound to happen.
