The It List: 'Pig Royalty' shows off high-end hogs, 'News of the World' on Blu-ray, and more pop culture highlights of the week

The It List is Yahoo’s weekly look at the best in pop culture. With the Coronavirus pandemic in mind here are our picks for the week of March 22nd.

Pig Royalty premieres Tuesday, March 23 on Discovery+. The new show Pig Royalty takes you deep inside Texas and into the world of competitive pig showing.

News of the World is available Tuesday, March 23 on Blu-ray. Tom Hanks stars as a former Confederate soldier now traveling town to town reading the news.

Olympia premieres Tuesday, March 23 on Apple TV. A new documentary takes a look at the life and work of Academy Award-winning actress Olympia Dukakis.

- The It List is Yahoo's weekly look at the best in pop culture. With the coronavirus pandemic in mind, here are our picks for the week of March 22. While much of the recent news has been the ongoing drama among the Royals, it's time to pivot to a different kind of regal content-- "Pig Royalty." Yes, the new Discovery Plus show, "Pig Royalty," takes you deep inside Texas and into the world of competitive pig showing. But these high-end hogs aren't the only subjects on screen as their human handlers from two warring families provide plenty of drama of their own.

[ROCK MUSIC]

- It's very cutthroat. In the pig world rumors do spread quickly.

- I did not sleep with a judge.

- You [BLEEP].

- Tom Hanks stars in the movie "News of The World" where he plays a former confederate soldier now traveling town to town reading the news. The western film came out last year to critical acclaim and is now available on Blu-ray. Complementing Hanks' performances Helena Zengel, who plays a young girl kidnapped by the Kiowa struggling to re-enter traditional society.

[DRAMATIC MUSIC]

- Right there's a horse.

- Horse. Captain.

- Captain. Make no mistake. Captain.

- A new documentary takes a look at the life and work of Academy Award winning actress Olympia Dukakis. Dukakis won an Oscar in 1987 for her work in "Moonstruck" and has a decades long wide ranging list of credits to her name. The doc follows her and interviews several of her peers, including Whoopi Goldberg.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Her range is frightening and wonderful to watch. It's what every actor wants. I wanted it.
