List: movie nights, concerts among summer events in Gahanna
GAHANNA, Ohio (WCMH) – From movies under the stars to concerts and festivals, here are things to do this summer in Gahanna.
June
Creekside Live concert
At Creekside Plaza on June 7 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Local bands Lucky Penny Sisters and Hangtime will perform – bring a lawn chair and dancing shoes.
Creekside Blues & Jazz Festival 25th Anniversary
At Creekside Plaza from June 14 at 5 p.m. to June 16 at 5 p.m.
This three-day celebration for all ages features musical performers, food and regional artisans.
Juneteenth celebration
At Shepherd Church of Nazarene on June 19 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
This event will feature an array of speakers and uplifting performances for gospel musicians, including a special appearance by Gahanna Lincoln High School alum and local musician Hawc Griffin.
Ohio Brass Arts Festival
At Creekside Rotary Stage on June 22 from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
This festival is a musical showcase of local British-style brass bands.
Cinema Under The Stars
At Friendship Park on June 21 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
This series of movie events includes yard games, crafts and other activities before a film plays on the big screen. Be sure to bring a blanket and lawn chair. The Super Mario Bros movie will begin at dusk.

At Creekside Plaza on June 28 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Local musicians E&D Acoustic and Trae Myers will perform.
July
Independence Day fireworks
At Gahanna Municipal Golf Course on July 3 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
Independence Day parade
On July 4 from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The parade will begin on Granville Street West between Clark Hall and Dairy Queen and end at the Royal Plaza shopping center on Stygler Road.
Creekside Live concert
At Creekside Plaza on July 12 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Local bands Blue Spectrum and Radio City will perform.
Pioneer Day
At Gahanna Historical Society on July 13 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Step back in time with a day of family-friendly activities and fun for kids of all ages, as the Gahanna Historical Society celebrates the city’s history.
Cinema Under the Stars
At Friendship Park on July 19 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The Disney movie Soul will begin at dusk.
Creekside Live concert
At Creekside Plaza on July 26 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Local bands Gravity’s Pull and Session Five will perform.
August
Vettes, Rods and Classics charity car show
At Creekside Plaza on Aug. 3 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The 20th Anniversary of the Vettes, Rods and Classics car show will feature 90 awards, local restaurants, food trucks and a silent auction.
Creekside Live: Celebrate Gahanna
At Creekside Plaza on Aug. 9 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m
The band Pop Gun will perform.
Cinema Under The Stars
At Friendship Park on Aug. 16 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
The Little Mermaid (2023) will begin at dusk.
Muddy Miler-themed adventure run
At the Gahanna Swimming Pool on Aug. 18 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
The Muddy Miler is a themed adventure run through obstacles and mud. Race participants will start the race in staggered heats and can enjoy food from food trucks with beverages from a local brewing company.
Creekside Live concert
At Creekside Plaza on Aug. 23 from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Local musicians Chaz and Nicki and Andy Shaw: Bob Marley Tribute Band will perform.
