Lisa Vanderpump Calls Jax Taylor’s Pump Rules ‘Scripted’ Claims ‘Absolutely Ridiculous’

Lisa Vanderpump once again had to pull one of her former staff out of hot water. This time, Jax Taylor was on the chopping block for claims he made regarding Vanderpump Rules.

A viral video showed Jax hosting a VPR watch party at his bar. As the show played, Jax took to a bar microphone, saying the show was “scripted.” In his words: “Show me a scripted show and I’ll show you f*cking Vanderpump Rules. Scripted! Scripted! I’ve been on this show for 9 f*cking years, this is scripted.”

“I’ll be on it next week, I’ll tell you what, it was scripted.” However, Jax pointed to The Valley as a real, organic show. One can only imagine that Lisa wasn’t too happy about these statements, whether they were true or not. So, what did she have to say in response?

Lisa says Jax “doesn’t make any sense” to her

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Lisa addressed Jax’s claims. “I think it’s absolutely ridiculous for him to say ‘scripted,’” she said. “Nobody could write a script like Vanderpump Rules.” Really? Nobody? She continued, “Maybe what Jax says is scripted. Maybe he sits at home in his little bedroom and writes his own script. What the hell do I know?”

To conclude the topic, she added, “Anyway, for the most part, anything Jax says doesn’t make any sense to me.” Luckily for Lisa, Jax walked back his claims about the show being scripted, having since apologized. On his podcast, he said, “My mouth gets me in trouble from time to time.”

Jax further explained, “I regretfully went on a rant about how Vanderpump Rules is scripted. I’m sure many of you listening right now have saw the videos, and I’m incredibly embarrassed by that.” He revealed that he’d received upsetting news just 10 minutes before walking into his bar, causing him to go on a rant.

Vanderpump Rules Season 11 continues Tuesdays at 8/7c while The Valley airs the same night at 9/8c on Bravo.
