Lisa Rinna Looks Unrecognizable with Long, Wavy Hair at WWHL Appearance

Lisa Rinna wigged out on Tuesday’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen.

The actress and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, 55, stopped by the Emmy winning Bravo show with an eye-opening look, ditching her signature chopped, layered pixie for a shoulder-length wavy wig.

It’s a hair piece Rinna has been wearing in recent weeks, including the RHOBH season 9 premiere party in West Hollywood on Feb. 12 and a WWHL episode that aired on Feb. 7.

Leading up to her appearance on Tuesday, Rinna polled her followers on Twitter if she should wear the wig on her press tour — an idea 60 percent of voters supported.

She also told a fan that she was in the process of making the look more permanent, growing out her hair to a longer length. “You’ll have to help me through it,” she tweeted.

Rinna has been known to switch up her hairstyle in the past, with both wigs and hair pieces.

Perhaps her most dramatic change? A January appearance on WWHL in which she wore long hair extensions for the first time in nearly two decades.

“The last time I grew my hair out was when I had Delilah Belle. So, 19 years ago!” Rinna told PEOPLE. “It was time, what the hell!”

“I think spending the last two years with Erika Janye has rubbed off on me. It really has,” she joked. “She has the most fabulous hairdos. … This seemed like the next thing to try!”

She then came back to the long length in September, attending the Rachel Zoe Spring/Summer 2019 presentation in L.A. with a slicked-back long, straight ponytail.

And then in November, she wore a blonde pixie cut wig to film a scene for the current season of RHOBH.

Meanwhile, on the WWHL After Show, Andy Cohen revealed that she was actually almost cast in RHOBH‘s first season.

“We did talk to Lisa on season 1 and put her on tape. And I felt very strongly, for better or worse… I didn’t get it,” Cohen said. “I felt like it should be unknown people. And even though Kim and Kyle [Richards] has acted before, whatever… I felt like Lisa Rinna was too much of a personality.”

“And then, by the way, when you did join, I was the biggest — I was like, ‘It is time for Lisa Rinna to join,’ ” Cohen added. “You had been on this show. I knew that you knew the women, you had a long history. I just felt like the show needed to establish itself on its own.”

Rinna was fine with it. “I totally agree,” she told Cohen. “Everything happens for a reason. Always.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesday (9 p.m. ET) on Bravo.
