How Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin Played a Role in Delilah Belle Hamlin’s New Song

Delilah Belle Hamlin just released her debut single, “Nothing Lasts Forever,” and it turns out that her parents, Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin, “were actually part of” the song’s “whole journey.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills daughter revealed as much in a new interview with ET. “Right when we recorded this song, I sent them the demo and then we recorded vocals again, sent them that, sent them everything,” Delilah said. “They’ve just been my biggest supporters. Right when I got the final master, I was like, ‘Guys, we’re going in the car. [We’ve] gotta listen to it.’ We sat in my car, played it, and it was something special.”

The track itself is a personal one, as Delilah said it “really embodies everything I’ve been going through for the past couple of years.”

“I’ve been going through it pretty silently and privately, [save] the occasional Instagram post or Story talking about my mental and physical health struggles,” she explained. “The song really just embodies what I’ve been going through… I feel like opening up to the fans on social media, I’m able to go into more detail about what’s going on. And then in writing music, I find [that] it’s so poetic. I find it so much more like a story that I’m telling. I don’t want to be too blunt. I would rather have it be open to interpretation, so that everyone hopefully can relate in their own way.”

At the same time, there’s also something that Delilah wants listeners to take away from “Nothing Lasts Forever.”

“It’s a deep one. I hope that people take away, literally, nothing lasts forever. Even the good… I never really had enough gratitude for my body and my health,” she shared. “I think we just need to have more gratitude, and I hope people can take away the fact that, like, even the good times don’t last forever. You could get sick like this, you could lose something like this. So that’s definitely a point.”

“And then also, the bad times don’t last forever,” Delilah added. “My mom always taught me growing up [that] this too shall pass.”

And if anyone is already a big fan of the song, it’s her mom. Lisa started showing support for her eldest child as soon as Delilah announced earlier this month that she would be releasing the track. Now that it’s out, there will likely be more to come. Delilah told Flaunt magazine in December that she was “working on an album.”

“I’ve always loved singing. I was in choir, musical theater, and doing vocal lessons at a young age,” she explained in the same interview. “I thought that I was gonna go into R&B, but I think music is a journey and my genre might change in the future. Who knows? As of now, we’re going with ‘ethereal pop’ — I’ve made that up.”
