Described as a dark, half-hour comedy, No Good Deed follows three very different families vying to buy the very same 1920s Spanish-style villa that they think will solve all their problems. But as the sellers have already discovered, sometimes the home of your dreams can be a total nightmare.

Kudrow, an Emmy winner for her role on Friends (and a two-time nominee for The Comeback), will play Lydia Morgan, a highly talented (and highly strung) former concert pianist who is also a devoted wife to Paul (played by Romano) and a loving (though flawed) mother to their two children.

Lydia is distraught by the idea of selling their Los Feliz home, the official character breakdown tells us, as it is “a place filled with happy memories and dark secrets.”

Romano’s Paul, as TVLine previously reported, is a flat-broke contractor who wants to pay off his debts and move out of Los Angeles. And while selling his Los Feliz home would provide him with the answer to his money woes, his past mistakes continue to haunt him.

Cardellini will play Margo Starling, a perfectly-coiffed status seeker with buried secrets to spare; Wilson will assume the role of JD Campbell, a depressed, out-of-work soap star who needs to downsize; Parris has been cast as Carla, a high-achieving and somewhat sardonic architect and expectant mother; Jacobson will play the clever, curious and competitive-to-a-fault Leslie Fisher, who is thrilled to discover that the Los Feliz home she and her wife have admired from afar is finally on the market; and Liu will play Leslie’s soulful, grounded and uncompromisingly decent wife Sarah.

Feldman created and serves as showrunner on the eight-episode No Good Deed, and will executive-produce alongside Will Ferrell, Jessica Elbaum, Christie Smith, and Silver Tree (who will direct the pilot and additional episodes).
