Lisa Kasteler Retires From Wolf Kasteler To Become Executive Director Of The Matthew Perry Foundation

EXCLUSIVE: One of the longest business partnerships in Hollywood is coming to an end. Lisa Kasteler will be retiring from Wolf Kasteler after steering the agency alongside founder Annett Wolf into a PR powerhouse for the past 32 years.

Kasteler will be leaving at the end of the month, winding down a 50-year career in PR, to become Executive Director of the Matthew Perry Foundation. Perry was a client of Kasteler — and the Wolf Kasteler agency — for 28 years until his sudden death Oct. 28 at the age of 54.

Before his passing, Perry had planned to start a foundation to help others overcome drug and alcohol abuse, which he had hoped to be his legacy. His friends and loved ones are now carrying on that legacy with the recently launched Matthew Perry Foundation, which is committed to identifying addiction as a disease, addressing stigmas that prevent individuals from seeking and accessing care, and advocating for better and more equitable treatment.

While no longer partners, Wolf and Kasteler will continue to work together. Wolf Kasteler, which will be headed by Wolf and will retain its name following Kasteler’s departure, will be The Matthew Perry Foundation’s public relations agency of record. The collaboration will build on the agency’s philanthropic tradition of creating foundations for clients or guiding them in their chosen cause.

Wolf will lead Wolf Kasteler with support from Annick Muller, who has been a partner since 2018. Muller continues to oversee the New York office and staff as well as lead business verticals, including talent representation, award strategies — film, television and theater — and individual film and TV campaigns.

In addition to Muller, Wolf Kasteler’s senior team includes longtime Vice Presidents Caryn Leeds and Allie Jenkins and newly appointed Christa Dallas in Los Angeles; and longtime VPs Annick Oppenheim and Chelsea Hayes and newly appointed Lauren Appel in New York. Home grown talent, the sextet have each curated and grown their own roster of emerging and diverse clients while also working closely with Wolf, Kasteler and Muller on creating award campaigns and overall publicity strategies for the agency’s established clients in the world of entertainment, fashion and digital creators.

Kasteler and Wolf met at PMK where they worked together for six years. Wolf left in 1989 to launch her own company. Kasteler, who had worked at another agency before PMK, joined her in 1991.

Wolf Kasteler’s many clients include Viola Davis, Sam Esmail, The Row, Samuel L. Jackson and LaTanya Richardson Jackson, Ted Danson, Ana De Armas, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kerry Condon, Colman Domingo, Laura Dern, Christoph Waltz, Auli’i Cravalho, Cindy Crawford, Brittany Broski, Uma Thurman, J.K.
