Lisa Bonet, Whitney Cummings, Brandi Carlile and More Star in Powerful #FreedomMeans Campaign

To close out Women’s History Month, musicians Dorothy and Angel Haze have tapped some of Hollywood’s most influential females (and their fans!) to raise awareness around women’s rights issues.

Following the duo’s successful #FreedomMeans campaign — launched alongside We Are Hear (co-founded by multi-platinum producers Linda Perry and Kerry Brown) and Equality Now — which encourages people to share their definition of freedom in order to generate a discussion about gender equality and women’s rights issues globally, Dorothy and Angel Haze released a compilation video featuring various supporters, including Lisa Bonet, Whitney Cummings, Brandi Carlile, Evan Rachel Wood, Natasha Bedingfield and Laura Marano expressing what freedom means to them.

“For me, freedom means representation,” Carlile says in the video.

“Freedom is a birthright,” Bonet continues. “It’s life’s journey. I think everything longs to be free.”

“Freedom means being able to say ‘no’ and not feeling guilty afterwards,” says Cummings.

The #FreedomMeans movement kicked off on International Women’s Day on March 8 with the release of a new song called “Freedom,” performed by Dorothy and Angel Haze and remixed by TROY NöKA. For more information, click here.
