Lisa Bonet has filed for divorce from Jason Momoa after five years of marriage and a total of 18 years together.

Bonet, now known as Lilakoi Moon, filed in Los Angeles County court on Monday (Jan. 8), two years after separating from the Aquaman star. According to the Associated Press, the petition cites “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

Reportedly, the two have agreed that neither person will get financial gain from the divorce and also agreed on joint custody of their 16-year-old daughter and 15-year-old son.

Bonet and Momoa started dating in 2005 and married in 2017. The 56-year-old The Cosby Show actress was previously married to Lenny Kravitz, who she shares daughter, Zoë Kravitz, with. For Momoa, this was his first marriage.

Momoa is best known for his roles in the aforementioned Aquaman movies, Game of Thrones, and more. Bonet played in A Different World, High Fidelity, Enemy of the State, and more.

In a 2018 interview with Net-A-Porter, Bonet spoke on Momoa and called him an “Alpha Male.”

“What’s cool about Jason is that he’s an alpha male who stands for love and family,” she said. “And to circle back to my own wounds, having an absent father, then to be fully met by a man of that stature, is really incredible.”

She added, “Jason embodies a rare form of masculinity in this day and age – he’s a leader; he’s generous. Just in terms of charisma, physique, the right use of power, responsibility, work ethic, you can go down the line.”
