The lineup for this year's 80/35 Music Festival will be announced soon.

The Des Moines Music Coalition announced in a news release that the 2024 edition of the summer music fest will be July 12 and 13. The event will move this year to Water Works Park, across Fleur Drive from Gray's Lake Park in Des Moines, after 14 years in the downtown Western Gateway Park.

The lineup will be announced April 12.

Tickets are on sale today at 80-35.com with an early bird discount price. Children aged 12 and under receive free admission when accompanied by a paying adult. There will be one main stage in the paid area, the release says, as well as free stages that anyone can attend.

"We love that we can bring the festival to one of the most beautiful parks in the Midwest and create a fresh experience," Kuuku Saah, board president of the Des Moines Music Coalition, said in a statement. "80/35 was built by music lovers who were willing to volunteer hundreds of hours to create one of the largest nonprofit festivals in the country. There are not a lot of communities that can sustain a music festival like this. We are fortunate to celebrate our 15th edition with a festival that will excite and challenge people’s music tastes."

The festival also will include food trucks, shopping, a silent disco and other entertainment and activities throughout the park.

And, in a first this year, 80/35 will allow camping.

"Camping adds a whole new element," Andy TeBockhorst, interim executive director of the Des Moines Music Coalition, said in a statement. "People can spend the night in the park and get fully immersed in the festival experience."

When will the lineup come out for the 80/35 Music Festival in Des Moines?

We still have to wait a few more weeks to know this year's headliners and supporting acts.

But 80/35 says the list will feature local, regional and national acts in various genres, including multi-Grammy award-winning headliners on each night.

"We think people are going to be really excited about the 80/35 lineup,” TeBockhorst said in the statement. "We’ve got an incredible range of bands and artists that guarantee people will find new favorites they’ve never heard before and enjoy big-time shows they can’t believe they got to see right here in Des Moines!"
