Lindsie Chrisley Questions Sister Savannah's Digs at 'Every Opportunity' When Their Relationship Is 'Nothing'

Savannah recently accused Lindsie of being "a huge player in this whole fiasco" of their parents' incarceration, noting that "family is not blood"

Lindsie Chrisley is taking issue with sister Savannah Chrisley's recent comments about their strained relationship.

On this week's episode of Lindsie's The Southern Tea podcast, the eldest Chrisley family daughter expressed confusion over Savannah's remarks, where the Special Forces alum addressed their estrangement and alleged that it's "110 percent true" that her big sister helped put their parents  Todd and Julie in prison.

"It was brought to my attention by a ton of listeners of the podcast, The Southern Tea and Coffee Convos community, that my sister had yet again chosen to make public comments about me regarding my parents' ongoing legal battle," began Lindsie, 34, suggesting that her 26-year-old sister's comments come after the mother of one has "completely refrained from discussing anything in regards to our relationship publicly for a significant amount of time."

"My sister has never privately reached out to me to discuss her apparent issues with me and has publicly said several times that we have no relationship at all. ... It's nothing," she continued. "So, why she has chosen to have a public conversation regarding me at every opportunity she is given, I will truly never understand that, but I hope it gives her whatever she is seeking from doing so."

Lindsie also noted that Savannah — who has been a vocal mental health advocate — "should maybe make sure that you aren't harming someone's mental health" when making statements publicly, suggesting it "seems a little bit contradictory for a person to do both of those things simultaneously." Lindsie added that next week's Southern Tea episode will feature her addressing the ongoing family drama alongside her attorney Musa Ghanayem.

Lindsie and Savannah have been butting heads publicly for the last several months following a brief reconciliation occurring before Todd, 54, and Julie, 51, reported to prison for fraud in January 2023. However, Lindsie's latest statement followed Savannah's recent comments on Jason Tartick's Trading Secrets podcast, addressing both their estrangement and her sibling's alleged connection to their parents' legal battle.

"There has been a lot of public lashing out at each other," Savannah said. "I find it funny because her so-called lawyer wants to say that I'm using her as a 'punching bag' for my emotions, which is not true at all because I go off of facts and I go off of you have interviews that she did with the FBI for two years — two years."

"So, I'm going off the facts of it and I wholeheartedly believe she was a huge player in this whole fiasco," she continued. "And, it just is what it is. At this point, I believe that family is not blood. Family can be some of your closest friends. Blood does not mean you are family to someone."

Savannah claimed Lindsie's "anger, bitterness and resentment" led her to allegedly give interviews to the FBI in their family's legal battle. She additionally suggested that if Lindsie "couldn't have the success that everyone else was having, then they weren't going to have it either."

Lindsie's attorney previously told PEOPLE that she had "no ill will" for Savannah, adding, "She's dealing with a lot and it doesn't surprise me that she's lashing out at Lindsie. I mean, some of the stuff that she's saying with regard to her parents, that's got to be out of anger because it's not in fact."

Meanwhile, Savannah — who is also not on speaking terms with big brother Kyle Chrisley — previously described her fallout with Lindsie as "very interesting," telling PEOPLE that she doesn't "do well with constant lies and victim mentality" and is "good" to no longer have a relationship with her sister.

"I have realized that as an adult, it's my responsibility to have healthy relationships and cut out unhealthy ones," she added. "And especially now with the two kids, it's my job to protect them emotionally, physically, psychologically and I just don't have room for people that don't want to show up and show up in a healthy manner."
