Meet Lindsay Lohan's parents.

The Mean Girls alum is the daughter of Dina and Michael Lohan, who welcomed the actress into the world on July 2, 1986.

As Lindsay ascended to fame as a child star, her mom became her manager, and dad Michael, who initially worked on Wall Street, also entered the public eye as Lindsay's father.

Michael and Dina separated when the actress was three, though they later reconciled. Dina filed for divorce in January 2005 and it was finalized in 2007.

Over the years, Lindsay has opened up about her parents' divorce. In 2020, she revealed playing twins in The Parent Trap (her breakthrough role at age 11) helped her deal with the separation of her own mom and dad.

"My parents were kind of separating at the time when this was all going on. And it made it a lot easier for me to play these characters that were figuring it out," she said at a virtual reunion of the 1998 film. "I just felt so lucky and really blessed... Without this movie, I wouldn’t have gotten the acting bug."

Dina and Michael Lohan married in 1985

Dina and Michael wed in 1985, one year prior to Lindsay's birth. They briefly separated in 1988, but later rekindled their relationship. Two decades later, however, their marriage — which was oftentimes tumultuous — ended in divorce in 2007.

Dina and Michael Lohan welcomed four kids together

Dina and Michael Lohan had four kids together. Lindsay is the eldest of the Lohan siblings, born in July 1986.

The couple welcomed Michael Jr. in December 1987; daughters Aliana and Dakota followed in December 1993 and June 1996, respectively.

Each of the Lohan siblings took different career paths as they grew older, though the entire Lohan clan had cameos in Disney's 1998 adaptation of The Parent Trap, in which Lindsay starred.

Dina Lohan was Lindsay Lohan's 'momager'

Amid Dina's marriage to Michael, she predominantly gained public recognition as the mother of Lindsay, taking on the role of her "momager" (a word popularized by Kris Jenner to mean mom/manager) as her daughter rose to fame in the entertainment industry.

Dina's support for Lindsay, both personally and professionally, has continued through the years. In recent years, she attended the premiere of her comeback film, Falling for Christmas, and stepped out with the actress to support her family's walk in Siriano's 2023 NYFW runway show.

Michael Lohan was formerly a commodities broker

Prior to Lindsay's birth, Michael was a Wall Street commodities broker who inherited his father's pasta business. After Lindsay was born, he became well-known as the movie star's dad alongside his now ex-wife Dina.

Both Dina and Michael had various screen gigs, some of which have been alongside their famous daughter.

Dina had an uncredited cameo in The Parent Trap, but 2008's Living Lohan on E! was among one of her first television gigs. Others included 2014's Lindsay and Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn in 2016.

Similar to Dina, Michael has appeared on various reality TV shows, including The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2009, Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew in 2011, Lindsay in 2014 and Family Therapy with Dr. Jenn in 2016.

Dina Lohan was a cast member on Celebrity Big Brother

In 2019, Dina was a cast member on season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother, memorably for her five-year relationship with "a special someone" she planned to marry, despite never meeting him in person or FaceTiming.

Catfish's Nev Schulman discovered that her alleged Internet boyfriend was Jesse Nadler, a then 53-year-old resident of Tiburon, California. The couple announced their engagement in June 2020. Her ex-husband Michael also approved of Jesse, saying he's "a really nice guy with a good heart." (Dina and Jesse never wed.)

Dina told Entertainment Tonight that she consulted all four of her kids before taking on the reality TV competition series. "I watched it first, asked my children, and then I said, 'This is kind of cool 'cause I'm kind of empty nesting.'"

Dina and Michael Lohan have both faced legal troubles

Michael made headlines for his legal troubles on several occasions. In the late 1980s, he faced jail time in a stock fraud case and again in the late 1990s for violating his probation. In the years that followed, he was involved in a long-running divorce battle with Dina and has had an estranged relationship with Lindsay.

In 2010, he got engaged to former reporter Kate Major. They wed in 2014 and later welcomed sons Landon and Logan together. In 2018, Kate filed for divorce just over a month after she was arrested in a domestic violence dispute. In 2020, Michael was arrested and charged for allegedly choking and harassing his estranged wife Kate. The charges were later dropped.

As of June 2022, court records show that he resides near Houston, Texas.

Amid her reality show stints, Dina has also faced legal troubles. She was arrested following a vehicle collision in Long Island in January 2020. She later pleaded not guilty to driving while intoxicated (DWI) and saw brief jail time in September 2021. (She was also charged for a September 2013 DWI in 2014, At the time, a Nassau County district court judge sentenced her to 100 hours of community service. Her driver's license was also suspended for one year and she was fined $3,000.)
