Lindsay Lohan to Lead Upcoming Netflix Holiday Rom-Com “Our Little Secret”

Lindsay Lohan's next Netflix movie will follow the upcoming rom-com 'Irish Wish,' set to premiere on the streaming service March 15

Lindsay Lohan and Netflix are a match made in streaming heaven!

On Monday, the streamer announced that Lohan, 37, will star in an upcoming holiday movie, titled Our Little Secret, as part of her two-picture deal with Netflix that followed her 2022 romantic comedy Falling for Christmas.

"Two resentful exes are forced to spend Christmas under the same roof after discovering that their current partners are siblings," reads an official logline for the upcoming movie. Principal photography is underway for the film, which will also star Kristin Chenoweth, Ian Harding, former Saturday Night Live cast members Jon Rudnitsky, Chris Parnell and Lohan's Mean Girls costar Tim Meadows.

Netflix originally announced a partnership with Lohan in March 2022, months before Falling for Christmas debuted on the platform. That movie marked her first major starring role in a film since 2013's The Canyons, save for a supporting role in the 2019 movie Among the Shadows.

In Falling for Christmas, Lohan played a newly engaged hotel heiress suffering from amnesia following a skiing accident, who finds herself in the care of a handsome lodge owner (Chord Overstreet) and his daughter. In the upcoming Irish Wish, Lohan will play a woman named Maddie, who attends a wedding in Ireland as a bridesmaid to her best friend. Problem is, Maddie is in love with her friend's fiancé.

"Days before the pair are set to marry, Maddie makes a spontaneous wish for true love, only to wake up as the bride-to-be," Netflix's official synopsis for the movie reads. "With her dream seeming to come true, Maddie soon realizes that her real soulmate is someone else entirely."

Our Little Secret will fulfill the second of the two Lohan-led movies Netflix first announced in 2022. "We’re so happy with our collaboration with Lindsay to date, and we're thrilled to continue our partnership with her," Netflix's director of independent film, Christina Rogers, said in a release at the time. "We look forward to bringing more of her films to our members around the world."

Since Lohan resumed her movie career with Falling for Christmas, she also appeared in Rita Ora's 2023 music video "You Only Love Me" and reprised her Mean Girls role as Cady Heron in a series of Walmart Black Friday ads last fall. She also made a surprise cameo in the recent Mean Girls movie musical as a moderator at a math competition toward the films' end.

Our Little Secret will also feature performances from Dan Bucatinsky, Henry Czerny, Katie Baker, Ash Santos, Jake Brennan and Brian Unger. While that movie does not yet have a release date, Lohan's Irish Wish will begin streaming on Netflix March 15.
