Lindsay Lohan Gets to Work on Her First Film in 2 Years
No number of arrests or scandals or chikungunya infections can erase the memory of the Lindsay Lohan we all came to know and love, the Lindsay Lohan who is a star.
So it should come as good news that Lohan is getting to work on her first film in two years, called The Shadow Within. There’s no information available about the plot or any of the rest of the cast or crew, but Lohan did promise she’d give us a look at the character she’s playing later this week.
“My first day on my new film!!!!” Lohan wrote on Instagram. “Will be sending a sneak peak of my character this week.”
In a second selfie, which looks like it was taken in her trailer, the 29-year-old wrote that it was her first day on set.
Lohan’s last movie was 2013’s The Canyons, which was not exactly well-received by critics or audiences. (Lohan’s on-set antics were also the subject of a fascinating and horrifying piece in The New York Times Magazine.) Since that, Lohan has made her West End stage debut in Speed-the-Plow and turned London into her semi-permanent home. Lohan has also appeared in several TV shows in the past three years: on Glee and Anger Management, as herself, and on Eastbound & Down and 2 Broke Girls.
