Linda Perry is in high spirits despite recently separating from wife Sara Gilbert. According to PopCulture, Perry walked the red carpet at the Hollywood Palladium for the Art of Elysium's 13th Annual Heaven Gala. Despite flying solo, she made the most of the gala and socialized with plenty of other artists.

She spent time with L7 band members Suzi Gardner, Demetra Plakas, Donita Sparks and Jennifer Finch as they walked the carpet together. She also mingled with visual artist Beau Dunn.

Perry walked the red carpet wearing a black T-shirt with lacy black overalls. She also wore black boots and a tall grey hat.

This is the first red carpet appearance that Perry has made since splitting with Gilbert. News broke of the couple's split on Friday December 27th. However, on the official separation documents, Gilbert put the separation date as August 13th hinting that this was a long time coming. Neither of the women sought spousal support for the split.

Linda Perry was the frontman serving as singer and songwriter of "4 Non Blondes." Perry has been very relaxed about the separation and at peace with it.

“I mean, it’s life, man,” Perry told Us Weekly and in regards to her separation with Gilbert. “Life is happening and you’re witnessing it. You know, this is a moment in life and people will get to witness it and I’m not … I’ve had an incredible journey and I’m still on an incredible journey.”

She continued, “That doesn’t mean … things that end doesn’t mean they’re over or they’re bad. It’s just you’re evolving into a different place and that’s kind of how I’m looking at it.”

Fans saw warning signs that their relationship was faltering when Gilbert left 'The Talk.'

"I'm nervous. This is hard to do and something that I have been struggling with for a while and going back and forth. But I've decided that it’s time for me to leave the show at the end of the season," she said on the show.

"I obviously love it here and like I said, this was extremely difficult. Last season, I did The Conners, as you know, and was also producing, and here, and I loved it and felt totally empowered, but also if I'm being honest about it, I think my life was slightly out of balance and I wasn’t able to spend as much time with my three kids as I'd like, and time for myself," Gilbert concluded. Perry had also indicated that Gilbert should be spending more time with the kids.
