The "Terminator" star is struggling with impostor syndrome in her new mystery role in the series' final installment.

Starring in Stranger Things has turned the world upside down for Linda Hamilton — which is why she says she won’t be tuning in for season 5.

The Terminator icon, who has joined the 1980s-set hit series in an undisclosed role, recently joked that it’s hard to keep her superfan status while sharing a call sheet with the show’s longtime cast.

“I’ve watched every season with relish. I just love it,” Hamilton told Us Weekly in a new interview. “So it’s kind of, like, imposter syndrome, where I don’t [feel that I] fit in there.”

She continued, “When you really buy into something, you don’t see yourself in it. So I think, in a way, it kind of ruined the show for me. I never watch [a project] once I’m in something. It would just completely take me out of the reality of it to see myself in there. So I won’t be watching [season 5].”

Hamilton is one of the very few new actors who have joined the series for its final installment. Naturally, her role is being kept under wraps — but it turns out, even she hasn’t been given all the answers. The actress says creators Matt and Ross Duffer initially gave her "the shape of the character, but not of the story.”

“They have to be very careful with their story," she said. "So I still don’t know how it ends. And it takes a lot of discipline to not know where it’s going to go. But that’s to protect it from all of the people that want to know.”

After being delayed by Hollywood’s dual strikes in 2023, production on the final season of the sci-fi saga began on Jan. 8. The official Stranger Things Instagram marked the occasion by sharing a photo of cast members Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, Joe Keery, Maya Hawke, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Cara Buono, Brett Gelman, and Priah Ferguson. Hamilton was also in the mix, alongside Vecna actor Jamie Campbell Bower and Amybeth McNulty, who plays Robin's love interest, Vickie.

Unfortunately for her, Hamilton has picked a nail-biting moment to step back from watching the series. When the story left off in season 4, Hawkins was in catastrophic territory, with Max (Sink) still in a coma after confronting Vecna while the reassembled squad grappled with the reality of the Upside Down leaking into their town.
