There's no doubt about it: Linda Evangelista has earned her supermodel status.

The iconic supermodel of yesterday, today and tomorrow certainly has staying power, and she's proven it yet again with her latest photoshoot. Evangelista, 58, stars on the cover of V Magazine, which dropped online this week and hits newsstands Jan. 12.

Shot by Steven Klein and styled by Patti Wilson, the four covers find Evangelista practically unrecognizable in the high-fashion, avant-garde setting.

On one cover, Evangelista is covered in gold body paint and wears a golden-yellow wig. On another, she stands tall in a lace catsuit topped with a red cape. Her hair is shaped into an old-fashioned bob and her eyes are painted with harsh red shadow.

Yet another cover finds Evangelista shot close up, covered in lace. She stares at the camera with all the focus on her blood-red lip color. And the last cover features her shrouded in an oversize black garment. She has one black tendril of hair hanging down over her face and the only pop of color comes from a small rosette in her hand.

Evangelista, who has survived breast cancer twice, left modeling for several years after CoolSculpting — a popular, FDA-cleared "fat-freezing" procedure that's been promoted as a noninvasive alternative to liposuction — left her "permanently deformed" and "brutally disfigured."

In a November interview with The Sunday Times, however, Evangelista revealed that she's "not hard on myself any longer" after undergoing sessions from August 2015 to February 2016 and later settling a lawsuit for an undisclosed amount.

"How people feel about me still bothers me a little bit, but it used to bother me a lot. I know now that I didn’t do anything wrong," she said. "For the longest time I thought I did."

"I’m not completely rid of it, but I work hard at getting rid of the guilt and the shame," she added. "And I’m not letting it ruin my life. I wouldn’t have stayed locked up if I’d known how many people cared.”
