Lincoln Project Co-Founder Says They’re Helping People Break Free From ‘Tribalism’

Rick Wilson is a former GOP campaign strategist and a lifetime conservative who left the Republican party. He co-founded the political action committee, The Lincoln Project, in 2019 and says their mission is to help independently leaning Republicans who don’t support Donald Trump to break free from the “tribalism” that says they have to automatically vote for GOP candidates. “I call it the closet of imaginary demons where Republicans have been told if you don’t vote the straight party line, tomorrow it’s going to be Sharia law, or mandatory gay marriage, or all these crazy fantasies that they’re fed every day,” says Rick.
