The first part of The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 is premiering on July 6, while the second is following on August 3. Both halves feature five installments. The streamer is adopting more and more often the strategy to cut his most popular series in half. It happened for Stranger Things season 4 last year, for You season 4, and recently for The Witcher season 3, among other shows. In doing so, Netflix aims to maximize the views and create hype for the subsequent second half of the season. Based on the novels by Michael Connelly, The Lincoln Lawyer was created by Emmy-winner David E. Kelley. Portrayed by Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Mickey Haller is a peculiar defense lawyer who works on his Lincoln Navigator rather than in a traditional office. In the freshman season, he dealt with the complicated case of a murdered colleague. In season two, Haller will defend Lisa Trammel (Lana Parrilla) from the accusation of having murdered Mitchell Bondurant, a real estate developer.

The series also stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Neve Campbell as Maggie McPherson, Becki Newton as Lorna Crane, Jazz Raycole as Izzy Letts, and Angus Sampson as Cisco. Additionally, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Christopher Gorham, Krista Warner, Michael Graziadei, and Jamie McShane. The upcoming sophomore season is based on the fourth book in The Lincoln Lawyer series, The Fifth Witness.
