“Boom Goes the Cannon” arrives almost one year after Prodigy’s death

Lin-Manuel Miranda has been releasing a new Hamilton-themed single every month as part of his #HamilDrops project. The latest entry to the series is special—an unreleased Mobb Deep song called “Boom Goes the Cannon.” The track arrives almost one year after Prodigy passed away. Listen below. Miranda tweeted about the single, “Rest in peace, Prodigy. Thank you Havoc.”

Previous entries in the series include “Weird Al” Yankovic’s “Hamilton Polka” as well as songs by the Decemberists, Royce Da 5’9”, Black Thought, and others.
