Lin-Manuel Miranda and Broadway Stars Do ‘Carpool Karaoke’ With James Corden

Broadway stars Lin-Manuel Miranda, Audra McDonald, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Jane Krakowski joined The Late Late Show host James Corden for his wildly popular “Carpool Karaoke.”

Initially just Miranda and Corden drove around New York City singing songs from the smash hit Broadway musical Hamilton. But after seeing McDonald, Ferguson, and Krakowski on the side of the road, Corden felt they should pick them up.

With five musical theater powerhouse performers riding around in one car, it was no surprise they sounded pretty good. They sang “Can’t Take My Eyes Off You,” “525,600 Minutes,” and finished with Les Miserables’ “One Day More.”

Corden asked the group, “Which do you prefer, theater or money?” Ferguson, who currently stars on Modern Family, answered saying, “I’m literally paying somebody to let me do theater this summer.”

The Late Late Show With James Corden airs weeknights at 12:37 a.m. on CBS.
