Lily Gladstone breaks her silence after Emma Stone’s Best Actress Oscar upset

She may not have won Best Actress … but she did win Most Loved.

Lily Gladstone officially broke her silence after losing the highly coveted Oscar for Best Actress to “Poor Things” lead Emma Stone.

“Feeling the love big time today, especially from Indian Country,” the “Killers of the Flower Moon” star posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday. “Kittō”kuniikaakomimmō”po’waw — seriously, I love you all.”

The actress — who made history by being the first Native American to be nominated in the Best Actress category — joked that she didn’t walk away totally empty-handed.

“Better believe when I was leaving the Dolby Theater and walked passed the big Oscar statue I gave that golden booty a little Coup tap – Count: one,” she said with a winking face emoji.

Despite not winning the top award, Gladstone, 37, pointed out the significance of Scott George and the Osage Singers performing Best Original Song track “Wahzhazhe (A Song For My People).”

“When watching the Osage Singers at the Oscars, my inner voice said ‘They’re the ones bringing us all up on stage tonight, that’s how it should be,’ ” Gladstone said in a separate tweet. “The history in the film and of the moment rightfully belong to the Osage Nation. What an honor to be close enough to feel the drum.”

Gladstone was introduced by Jennifer Lawrence during the Best Actress segment, calling her “the soul of ‘Killers of the Flower Moon.’ ”

“Every second of your performance as Mollie Burkhart is imbued with the plight, resilience and spirit of the Osage people,” Lawrence, 33, said at LA’s Dolby Theatre. “Your advocacy off set is a powerful display of dedication and leadership, illuminating and helping us reconcile one of the darkest parts of our country’s history. Congratulations.”

Stone, 35, also praised her fellow nominees in her acceptance speech.

“The women in this category, Sandra [Hüller], Annette [Bening], Carey [Mulligan], Lily — I share this with you. I’m in awe of you, and it has been such an honor to do all of this together,” the “La La Land” star said through tears. “I hope we get to keep doing more together.”

In the run-up to Hollywood’s biggest night, Gladstone received other accolades for her performance, including a Golden Globe, SAG and a New York Film Critics Circle Award.
