Lil Yachty Calls the Notorious B.I.G. “Overrated”

Lil Yachty is the latest guest to do Pitchfork.tv’s “Over/Under” series. In the episode, he and his producer The Good Perry are asked to rate 50 Shades of Grey, actor Tom Hanks, piracy, and more. One of the topics is the Notorious B.I.G., who Yachty immediately gives his verdict on: “Overrated.” The Good Perry is a little more diplomatic, saying, “I don’t know, I’ve heard like, his stuff in movies. I grew up very sheltered... I can’t say the same for him.” Yachty repeats, in a whisper: “Overrated.” Watch it below.
Back in August, Yachty and Anderson .Paak exchanged some barbs after Yachty said in an interview with Billboard that he “honestly couldn’t name five songs” by 2Pac and Biggie. “I think it’s funny how people feel like you HAVE to like something just cause everybody else does. Or like I HAVE to know something,” he tweeted.
