Lil Xan Says Mac Miller's Last Words to Him Inspired the Title of His Next Project
This week on Open Late, Peter Rosenberg had 22-year-old Redlands, California native Lil Xan on for this week's one-on-one interview. That might surprise you, considering that Xan hit the 'gram earlier this week to share that some Flamin' Hot Cheetos ended up sending him to the hospital. "I guess I ate too many Hot Cheetos," Xan said, "and it ripped something in my stomach open, so I puked a little blood."
Rosenberg referenced the incident by gifting Xan a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos. After telling Xan to be careful, Rosenberg spoke on how surprising it was that this story blew up the way it did. Xan agreed, saying he'd just got off the phone with his mom after she'd seen a story on Channel 7 news about it.

Xan said his "stomach is still recovering" from the incident, and gave an update on how he's doing in general. "Right now? Better than ever. Healthier than ever. I've never felt better in my life than at this point." Xan credits "tapering off drugs" and getting into a healthier mindset to the strides he's making thus far. He also said that many of the videos you see of Xan in a darker place are the result of him bottling up his emotions and letting it out all at once.
Xan also spoke on his friendship with Mac Miller, sharing something very personal with Rosenberg. "The last words he said... he was like, 'Be safe.'" Mac then pulled him close and said "be safe" again, which resonated with him. So much so that Xan says his next project will be called Be Safe instead of Baby Blue Subaru.
Elsewhere, Xan blamed himself for the breakup with Noah Cyrus. "I have nothing but love for the Cyrus family," Xan said, "I have no bad blood between Noah."
