Lil Uzi Vert is looking towards the light at the end of the tunnel. The 28-year-old enigma announced that they plan to retire after releasing Luv Is Rage 3.

The Philadelphia rapper was in the midst of their second night in Chicago on Monday (Oct. 23) for their tour supporting Pink Tape when they opened up to fans about their future plans. “Luv Is Rage 3 will be my last album,” Uzi told the crowd. “No, relax. It’s okay… After Luv Is Rage 3, I guess I will go on another tour for Luv Is Rage 3. But after that, I wanna try to live a normal life.”

It is unclear when Luv Is Rage 3 will come out, especially since the “Just Wanna Rock” rapper has been promoting their forthcoming project Barter 16 ever since releasing Pink Tape back in June. This is true to the three-time Grammy nominee’s nature, as they follow an irregular release and promotional schedule. In the meantime, check out their announcement to the fans below.

Luv Is Rage 3 would serve as the follow-up to Lil Uzi Vert’s 2017 debut studio album Luv Is Rage 2. Rage 2 boasted the smash hits “XO Tour Llif3” and “The Way Life Goes” featuring Oh Wonder and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

This month Uzi released their latest single “NFL” which many believe is the lead single for whichever project they will be putting out next.

Their latest album Pink Tape was the first Hip-Hop album to go No. 1 on the Billboard 200, closing a 36-week gap between the previous No. 1 album, Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains. Pink Tape featured Travis Scott, Nicki Minaj, Don Toliver, and more. Listen to the LP below.
