Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus Perform ‘Old Town Road’ Live for the First Time
Fans at Stagecoach were treated to a surprise on Sunday night when Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus took the stage to perform their hit song, “Old Town Road,” live for the first time.
The duo appeared to perform their remix of the hit song, which went viral after Billboard made the decision to remove “Old Town Road” from the Hot Country Song chart for not being country enough. Billy Ray jumped on the track and the remix quickly rose to the #1 spot.
The crowd went nuts for the duo and sang along to every word as the two performed.
Lil Nas X shared behind-the-scenes footage when the two hit the studio to record the track, showing Cyrus singing and playing his guitar while putting his signature country twang on the tune.
The 19-year-old also shared photos with the “Achy Breaky Heart” legend, writing, “BILLY F*CKIN RAY!!!”
