Lil' Kim claims her memoir's presales are 'surpassing the Bible'

"And that's crazy," added the rapper.

The Queen Bee is taking on Jesus — this according to the upcoming memoir's author, Lil' Kim.

During a recent Instagram Live, the Queen of Rap spoke about her book and claimed its presales numbers are "surpassing the Bible."

"When we post our presales, we be surpassing the Bible, and that's crazy," said Lil' Kim, 49. "And the thing is it's, like, the Bible. I don't take that lightly. Y'all already know that."

This would indeed be quite a holy miracle, as according to Guinness World Records, the Bible is the "best selling non-fiction book" of all time, with over 5 billion estimated units sold as of 2021. (Though it's impossible to say what its presales would be for obvious reasons, Bibles are printed at a rate of around 80 million per year, according to the record index.)

The Queen Bee, which was first announced in 2021, is co-written with Kathy Iandoli, and promises to reveal "everything that really went on behind-the-scenes of [Lil' Kim's] legendary career, much of it for the very first time publicly," according to the book's synopsis.

Publisher Hachette Books promises, "A true page-turner from start to finish, The Queen Bee is every bit as fierce, empowering, and badass as the woman at the heart of this story—and firmly cements her legacy as a true feminist icon."

As for why the memoir has been delayed, the Grammy winner also addressed that in her recent Instagram Live, and confirmed that the book is "done."

"It's some crazy s--- going on behind the scenes," she said. "You have to be really careful when you deal with these book companies because they try to, like, literally take advantage of you."

The Queen Bee is currently set for release on Sept. 23, 2025, via Hachette Books.
