Lil Gnar and Lil Skies Connect on Addictive New Song "Drop Top Benz"
Lil Gnar and Lil Skies are two of our favorite young rappers to emerge over the last year or so, and after publicly praising each other, they've finally ended up on the same song.
Back in February, Gnar told us, "My brother Skies, his shit's fire. I like seeing people who genuinely do them and you can tell that they're doing them and it's not an act. Because you can tell when somebody's trying to be someone they're not really hard." Then he hinted at their collaboration: "I've got this one joint he's about to hop on and then we're about to drop a skateboard collab in a second. Me and Skies are about to drop a board through Gnarcotic."
The skateboard collab still hasn't arrived, but they released "Drop Top Benz" on Thursday. It's a buoyant, catchy song that plays up the easy charisma of both rappers. The timing is perfect, too. This one will sound great all summer. Listen on SoundCloud below.
