Rapper Lil Durk wants to spend “all his life” with his girlfriend India Royale.

The Chicago-born rapper, whose birth name is Durk Derrick Banks, shares a hometown with his longtime partner, model and influencer India Royale. The pair started dating sometime around 2017 before Lil Durk rose to mainstream fame with notable collaborations.

After he was featured on Drake's "Laugh Now Cry Later" in 2020, Lil Durk worked with Morgan Wallen on “Broadway Girls" in 2021. His star continued to rise as he worked with artists, including Kanye West and J. Cole, who had a guest verse on Lil Durk's Grammy-nominated 2023 single “All My Life.”

Throughout his musical journey, India has been by his side. An ambassador for fashion brands and a lifestyle YouTube vlogger, India is also a mom of two children, Skylar and Willow. She welcomed Willow with Lil Durk in 2018, a year after they started dating.

Boasting over 5 million followers on Instagram, India is a model and an influencer. As an ambassador for Fashion Nova, she often features the online brand in clothing hauls on her YouTube channel.

India also enjoys sharing travel content, uploading photos and videos of her trips to locations like Bali, South Korea and Singapore.

On Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, she posts about raising her children, Skylar and Willow, as well as taking care of Sage, a dog she shares with Lil Durk.

She got engaged to Lil Durk in 2021

Lil Durk and India started dating around 2017 and got engaged four years later.

During his set at the music festival Lollapalooza in 2021, Lil Durk brought India up onstage, where he popped the question, surrounded by friends and family, including their children, Skylar and Willow.

"You know I love you to death, you've been holding me down ... when I was going through a lot," he said, down on one knee. "You've been the realest to me and I love you to death ... Do you wanna be my wife?"

The crowd cheered as he handed India the mic and allowed her to answer, accepting his proposal. "I said 'Yes.' #issafiancé," she wrote on Instagram afterward, sharing photos of the event.

In 2022, India posted on Instagram about being a "free agent," leading fans to believe she was single. After multiple posts by Lil Durk celebrating India's presence in his life, she posted on X (formerly Twitter) in March 2023, writing, "Im very much single. Been, been."

Despite these posts, Lil Durk confirmed to XXL magazine the next month that the pair were still in a relationship, and in December of the same year, India shared a video of a ring on X, writing, “😍 I can’t wait to see my wedding ring.”

She’s a mom to two daughters

India welcomed her first daughter, Skylar, during a past relationship in 2014. Four years later, Lil Durk and India celebrated the arrival of their daughter, Willow. The rapper has seven children, including Skylar, who he considers one of his own.

“Big Sky is India’s daughter. You know I’ve been there for her. So, she one of mines. She actually smart as hell. She would try and teach me how to dress,” he told XXL magazine of his relationship with Skylar. Lil Durk joked of his youngest daughter, “Willow’s mean and sneaky.”

Lil Durk and India also share a dog named Sage. In 2024, she revealed on X that Lil Durk chose his name.

India shares about her life on her YouTube channel with video topics ranging from date nights with Lil Durk to celebrating with friends and clothing try-on hauls.

She even vlogged a personal account of the labor and delivery of her daughter, Willow. The intimate video showed the couple getting ready for their daughter’s arrival at the hospital, the delivery and Lil Durk helping take care of India after the birth.

In November 2023, India posted a vlog of her and Lil Durk celebrating his birthday together with friends in Turks and Caicos. The video features the special touches India orchestrated to celebrate her boyfriend's birthday, including balloons, chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne. She also planned a dirt bike outing for the whole crew.

Lil Durk shared photos on Facebook at the time, praising India for how she celebrated him. "She make me like birthdays again,” he wrote. “Feeling that love."

She’s friends with Lil Wayne’s daughter

India is friends with Reginae Carter, daughter of Grammy-award-winning rapper Lil Wayne. Both women are ambassadors for Fashion Nova, and Reginae is also a vlogger, with the duo occasionally appearing in each other’s videos.

In September 2023, Reginae posted a vlog of a girls trip to Malibu, where she and her friends, including India, went to the beach and the carnival.

Reginae also made an appearance in India’s vlog about hosting her first Friendsgiving. In the video, all the guests wear matching pajamas and go around sharing what they're grateful for.

Lil Durk has written songs for her

In 2017, Lil Durk released a video for his song "India" starring his then-girlfriend, who served as the muse for the track. “Don't wanna pretend with you/Talking India/I wanna do everything under the sun,” he raps on the song.

He followed up the track with “India Pt. 2” in 2018 and released another song dedicated to his girlfriend in 2020, titled “India Pt. 3.”

“The way you snatched my heart, feel like you had it before/The way I kiss your lips, feel like I kissed you before,” Lil Durk raps in the third song.
