Lil Baby Concert Shooting Leaves Victim In Critical Condition

Lil Baby’s latest concert left one person in critical condition after being shot.

According to ABC 24, the Memphis Police Department responded to a shooting at Memphis’ FedExForum around 10:23 PM. The victim was located by paramedics and rushed to the Regional One Hospital, where they were treated for “life-threatening injuries.”

After the venue was evacuated, the premises were checked for additional victims. No other victims have been reported at this time. The MPD also stated that the shooter’s identity is still unknown. Fans in attendance told law enforcement that shots rang off in the first 30 minutes of Baby’s concert.

Clarissa Johnson, a concertgoer, spoke to WREG-TV regarding the shooting. “I heard a pop,” Johnson said. “I’m not sure what happened, but I had a suite, so I told all my crew, ‘get down.’ So we evacuated. Once we evacuated, [we] did a head count. I’m still not sure what happened.”

Lil Baby’s It’s Only Us Tour includes musical acts Rylo Rodriguez, Gloss Up, GloRilla, and Junxho for a 24-date run. His musical trek kicked off in Houston on July 26, 2023. Baby’s tour will commence in Ft. Lauderdale on Sept. 22, 2023.

To up the show’s production, the Atlanta rapper called upon Teyana Taylor to creatively direct his show. In July 2023, the Harlem singer revealed that Baby would be her next client on Instagram. She shared an image of them together on set, excitedly announcing her latest venture.
