Lifetime Teases Night of Ramsey Murder Specials With 'Who Killed JonBenét?' Trailer

Lifetime released a trailer for their new TV movie, Who Killed JonBenét? The telepic premieres November 5th on the cable network, and will dramatize the night that the six-year-old Colorado beauty queen, JonBenét Ramsey, was mysteriously murdered in her Boulder home and the ensuing investigation.

Following the movie, Lifetime will air a two-hour true crime docuseries called JonBenét’s Mother: Victim or Killer? which will feature interviews with people who have connections to the case, but have never spoken about it publicly. The special will also attempt to prove once and for all if the former beauty queen and socialite had anything to do with her daughter’s murder.

The case still remains unsolved, but was reopened in 2010 by federal and state investigators using the latest in DNA technology. And in 2013, it was revealed that the 1999 grand jury voted to indict John and Patsy Ramsey for child abuse resulting in death and for being an accessory to a crime, including murder, but no charges were brought against the parents.

This entire block of programming debuts less than two months before the twenty year anniversary of the crime, and follows three separate, original documentary specials on CBS, TLC, and Investigation Discovery, as well as an exclusive three-part Dr. Phil interview with JonBenét’s brother, Burke Ramsey. There is already the threat of a lawsuit against CBS for their two-part investigative series, The Case Of: JonBenét Ramsey, for their conclusion that 9-year-old brother, Burke, killed JonBenét with a flashlight, and their parents staged the scene to look like a kidnapping gone wrong.
