Lifetime Reveals Movie Slate For January & February Starring Cush Jumbo, Tamar Braxton & More

EXCLUSIVE: Lifetime has revealed its January and February movie slate that includes a ripped from the headlines movie about catfishing and another about multigenerational eating disorders. There’s also a flick abouta new mom who searches for the truth bout her missing newborn and another about the abduction of a Philadelphia nurse’s aide at the hands of a homicidal predator.

Inspired by real events, Girl in the Video follows the story of widowed mother Mo (Cush JumboThe Good Wife, The Good Fight), whose daughter Krissy (Tia May Watts, The Chelsea Detective) has begun chatting online with a closet predator who ends up kidnapping her and exploiting her in sexually abusive live streams on the dark web.

Girl in the Video airs Jan. 13 and is produced by ITN Productions for Lifetime. Ian Russell serves as executive producer.  The film is written by Matthew Broughton and Neil Rawles directs.

Inspired by true events. Dying in Plain Sight tells the story of overweight high school student Morgan Cruz (Raffa Virago, Fellow Travelers, Macy Murdoch) and her mother Kim, (Nicola Correia-Damude, The BoysResident Alien) who both harbor dark secrets that lead to devastating circumstances. The movie airs Jan. 20 and is from Neshama Entertainment in association with MarVista Entertainment.  Larry Grimaldi, Hannah Pillemer, Fernando Szew, Julianna Hays and Bonnie Zipursky executive produce for MarVista.  Arnie Zipursky, Dayna Zipursky and Suzanne Berger executive produce for Neshama. Michelle Ouellet directs from a script written by Lydia Genner.

Confessions of a Cam Girl follows eighteen-year-old fashion savant Kristen (Megan Best, Dawn) who is set to become the first in her family to graduate college. Determined to pay for it herself, Kristen secretly creates an online explicit content page to raise $10,000 for dream program. It premieres Jan. 27 and is produced by Sepia Films for Lifetime. Sheri Singer serves as executive producer. Siobhan Devine directs from a script written by Miriam van Emst.

A Mother’s Intuition centers on the story of a new mom who searches for the truth of her missing newborn and uncovers more than she could have ever imagined. Airing Feb. 3, it stars Denise Boutee, Matt Cedeño, Braley Evans and Tamar Braxton.

Based on a true story, Abducted off the Street: The Carlesha Gaither Story chronicles the abduction of a Philadelphia nurse’s aide at the hands of a homicidal predator, and reveals how she fought to survive and created a trail that would ultimately lead to her rescue. It airs Feb. 10 and stars Riele Downs (Darby and the DeadHenry Danger) as Carlesha Freeland-Gaither, Kenya Moore (The Real Housewives of Atlanta) as Keisha, Sam Asante (The Porter) as Delvin, Aidan Devine as Detective Darby, Diana Johnstone as Ana, Danny Waugh as Carl and Dylan Taylor as Officer Montgomery.

The film is produced by Cineflix Productions for Lifetime. Katie Boland directs from a script written by Amani Walker. Jeff Vanderwal, Sherri Rufh and J.C. Mills are the executive producers.
