Liev Schreiber Says His Son Sasha Is 'Bummed Out' He's Missing Time with Baby Sister Hazel: 'So Sweet'

Schreiber is dad to kids Kai and Sasha, whom he shares with ex Naomi Watts, and daughter Hazel, whom he shares with wife Taylor Neisen

Liev Schreiber's son is hoping for some more time with his baby sister.

The actor, 56, appeared on Live with Kelly and Mark on Monday, April 15, where he shared that his son Sasha, 16, recently let him know that he's "bummed" to be missing some quality time with his baby sister Hazel, 7 months.

"They're amazing. Sasha and Kai, you know them. They love her. It's been really great," the proud dad told Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos of his kids. "I just talked to Sasha, who's up at this terrific school in Vermont called The Mountain School, where he's taking care of animals, and he just said that he's bummed out because he's missing being with her."

"And it's just, so sweet. My god. Such a sweetheart. And he did this little film for his class that he just sent me last night which was a short film. He made an adaptation of Doris Lessing's Through the Tunnel, which is basically about a kid who doesn't want to grow up because he loves being a kid so much."

"You know when your kids do things like that that just...you know, because they're such monsters 99% of the time. And then they do something so profoundly sweet and you're just like, 'Wow,' " the star joked.

Schreiber shares his kids Sasha and Kai, 14, with ex Naomi Watts, 55. He is also dad to daughter Hazel, whom he shares with wife Taylor Neisen, 31.

In December, Schreiber shared some snaps from his trip to Antarctica with his two older kids on Instagram.

In one sweet family photo, Neisen stood in between Kai and Sasha, with all three of them bundled up in hats and jackets. The actor also included a few shots of penguins his family encountered.

"Favorite things…Merry Christmas and happy new year!" Schreiber captioned the photos.

Schreiber also included another series of photos with pictures of wildlife from the trip, including a selfie amongst an iceberg and a photo of an orca whale.

"From The Great Northern Distilleries in Dundalk Ireland to the Antarctic Sea, Slainte! Merry Christmas to you and yours from the entire Slainte team," he captioned the post, referring to his whiskey brand Slainte.
