Liev Schreiber celebrates his child Kai's 15th birthday

Liev Schreiber's child Kai is celebrating another year around the sun.

On Wednesday, the Ray Donovan star, 55, shared a photo of Kai in honor of their 15th birthday to his Instagram. In the photo, Kai looks poised as they sit in ballet class, wearing a black leotard and placing their hands on their knees.

"Happy Birthday Gorgeous!" Schreiber wrote in the caption.

Schreiber shares Kai and son Sasha, 16, with ex Naomi Watts, 55. He is also dad to daughter Hazel Bee, 3 months, whom he shares with wife Taylor Neisen, 31.

Watts also celebrated Kai's birthday on Wednesday, posting a sweet tribute to them on her Instagram. In the photo, Kai had braids in their hair and looked away from the camera, wearing two necklaces.

"Happy birthday my sweet little angel. You are everything to me. I'm so lucky to be your mum. Keep dancing and showing the world your dynamic and glorious spirit. ❤️-🌙," Watts wrote in her caption.

In June 2022, Watts shared an Instagram snap of herself posing with husband Billy Crudup, 55, alongside Schreiber and his wife as they celebrated Kai's graduation. The exes' son Sasha was also featured in the family photo.

"Congratulations to Kai ⚡️🎉Class of 2022 #modernfamily ❤️ #graduation," Watts captioned the happy moment.

Schreiber and Watts were together for 11 years before calling it quits in September 2016. Over a year later, the actor opened up about the breakup while on Sunday TODAY with Willie Geist, saying that his relationship with Watts has continued to remain amicable.

"It's always hard, you know? You build a life with someone and things change," he said at the time. "And I think the way that we've looked at it is that we'll always be partners with these kids."

He added that his friendship with Watts will always be a priority as they co-parent two children.

"It's important to support each other," he said, recalling a time he "was making jokes" about Watts at breakfast, noting that Kai and Sasha's "eyes light up when I talk about her. You can see how important it is to them that their parents care about each other."
