Liev Schreiber Accidentally Got Aroused While Dancing with Steve Martin
The star of Ray Donovan, Liev Schreiber, stopped by Conan on Monday and revealed an embarrassing experience from his first feature acting role. He explained that he was cast as a transvestite in the film Mixed Nuts and was supposed to dance with Steve Martin.
On his first day he was surprised with an unexpected dance rehearsal and wasn’t wearing the proper clothes. He said, “I went and I changed and I realized that I had worn boxer shorts under my jeans. And the guys know, when you wear boxer shorts with sweat pants, it’s problematic.”
Schreiber laughed to himself that it would be inappropriate if he became aroused. He said, “Of course I get probably the best I’ve ever had … And I’m mortified because we haven’t even shook hands yet, and every time he spins me, it’s flak, into his legs.”
Steve Martin was a professional and never spoke of the experience, saving Schreiber from embarrassment — although the embarrassment was happily doled out by Schreiber himself more than 20 years later.
